My Sister Forged Mom’s Signature Until The Truth Destroyed Everything

At the attorney’s office, Carol opened Mom’s sealed letter, which praised the years I spent caring for her and reminded my sister that love is measured by actions, not promises made after the work is finished, while medical records proved Mom was incapable of signing any legal documents on the day the deed was created.

With the evidence undeniable, Carol’s lawyer admitted the deed could not be defended, the county canceled the fraudulent transfer, and the case was forwarded for review while Carol later confessed she had forged our mother’s signature because she convinced herself she deserved the house.

Although she expected me to cut her out forever, I honored Mom’s wishes by keeping the original will intact, allowing us to share the house equally before selling it together, and as I later framed the final line of Mom’s letter, I realized her greatest gift was never the house itself, but the chance for two sisters to choose family over bitterness.
