Alan believed he had finally made peace with the hardest chapter of his life. Ten years had passed since his wife, Cleo, died while giving birth to their triplet daughters. After celebrating the girls’ tenth birthday, he noticed a small maple box resting on the front porch. Tied with a pale ribbon, it carried a handwritten note that instantly stole his breath: “To my beautiful daughters. Love, Mom.” Inside were three sealed letters, a notebook, and a message that made no sense.

The notebook listed four names alongside short clues that seemed to point toward a secret plan Cleo had arranged years earlier. Desperate for answers, Alan began visiting each person on the list. Every conversation revealed another piece of the puzzle, but the final truth remained hidden until the girls gathered together to open the letters…
