I’m 32 and have saved up my entire life, skipped vacations, worked overtime any chance I got just to be able to purchase a house. After years of this I finally bought a $1M home. I’ve also recently started seeing someone. We’ve been together for 3 months now, things are going well, but obviously it’s still early. When I got the keys I wanted to celebrate with her and told her I’d swing by with something sweet and we’d have a quiet night in at the new place. I picked up a cake on the way over. But when I opened the door the cake literally slipped out of my hands.
