My Son Blocked My Only Road To Steal My Land, Forgetting The Phone Upstairs

Nathaniel’s mouth opened, then closed. “It’s a rental,” he finally said. “For a job.” The deputy studied the mixer truck, angled deliberately across the narrow road, and then the elderly man standing in the doorway behind him. “A job that requires parking sideways across a private access road, blocking the only way off this gentleman’s property?” Walter stepped forward and quietly identified himself, thirty years with the county, and said he’d advised me to preserve the footage.
