When Isabelle arrives at St. Catherine’s Medical Center to surprise her husband, chief surgeon Marcus Whitfield, with lunch, the receptionist casually informs her that “Mrs. Whitfield” had already checked in and left just minutes before, carrying his identification badge without a lanyard. Piecing together the receptionist’s description and the missing “Patient Incident Review” file from her husband’s locked office, Isabelle realizes someone using her identity had deliberately accessed Marcus’s private records.

As she stands in his empty office processing what she’s uncovered, a text from Marcus arrives asking where she is. The moment she replies that she’s at the hospital, his response comes back sharp and immediate: “Don’t go anywhere,” suggesting he already knows exactly what she’s about to discover.
