The Clown Costume And The Black Folder That Turned One Cruel Wedding Into A Reckoning

The doors opened, and two hundred heads turned. The gasp that swept Ashford Hall was not the soft, admiring sound a bride expects. A clown costume, and a note telling me to know my place.” I held up the folded note so the front rows could see the handwriting. Vivienne’s smile finally cracked. “So I’d like to show all of you exactly what my place is.” I opened the black folder she had mocked as a cute little planner, and I lifted the first document into the light where two hundred guests, and every phone now rising to record, could see it plainly.
